Defence Career Guidance Workshops at Rashtriya Military Schools
Since 2014, Er. Deepak Kumar Prasad has been associated with Rashtriya Military Schools through Defence Career Guidance Programmes, SSB Interview Mentorship and leadership development sessions. Over the years, he has interacted with cadets from all five Rashtriya Military Schools in India—Belgaum, Bengaluru, Dholpur, Ajmer and Chail—guiding them towards NDA, SSB Interview preparation and officer development. These workshops have helped hundreds of cadets gain clarity, confidence and direction in pursuing careers in the Indian Armed Forces. The five Rashtriya Military Schools are prestigious residential institutions under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, dedicated to preparing future leaders through quality education and military values.
Our Journey Across Rashtriya Military Schools
Every workshop reflects a unique journey of mentorship, dedication and success. Below are the key milestones of our association with each Rashtriya Military School.
Belgaum
Rashtriya Military School Belgaum
Our journey with Rashtriya Military School Belgaum began in 2014 through Cadet Prateek Attri, then School Captain, who trusted GAPS SSB Academy for SSB Interview preparation. His first-attempt success marked the beginning of a long association. In 2015, we started mentoring cadets officially, providing guidance on SSB Interview preparation, Officer Like Qualities (OLQs) and defence career planning. Since then, 31 cadets have successfully progressed towards the Armed Forces, including an AIR 5 in NDA 145 Course, making Belgaum one of our strongest success stories.
Bangalore
Rashtriya Military School Bangalore
Our association with Rashtriya Military School Bangalore started in 2017 with NDA 138 Course, when we trained 12 cadets, out of whom 10 successfully achieved their goals. Among them, 6 cadets later passed out from IMA 148 Course and joined different branches of the Indian Army. Since then, the mentorship programme has continued, helping 45 cadets move closer to their dream of serving the nation.
Dholpur
Rashtriya Military School Dholpur
The journey with Rashtriya Military School Dholpur began in 2018 with NDA 141 Course, when we were officially invited to guide cadets through Defence Career Guidance and SSB Interview mentoring. With the encouragement of the Administrative Officer and the Principal, regular counselling sessions became an important part of the initiative. The programme contributed to outstanding NDA performances, including AIR 1 in NDA 142 Course and AIR 6 in NDA 145 Course. So far, 33 cadets have been successfully guided towards defence careers.
Ajmer
Rashtriya Military School Ajmer
Our association with Rashtriya Military School Ajmer started in 2018 when Cadet Ajay Patidar approached us after facing two SSB conference-outs. Through focused mentoring, confidence-building and structured guidance, he achieved his goal of becoming an officer. Although our interaction at Ajmer has been comparatively limited, we have still been able to guide and support 12 cadets towards successful defence careers.
Chail
Rashtriya Military School Chail
Our journey with Rashtriya Military School Chail also began in 2018 during NDA 141 Course, when we conducted a two-day Defence Career Guidance and SSB Workshop for cadets. With the support of the Administrative Officer and the Principal, several students benefited from the programme, and 7 cadets successfully moved towards NDA. Although further workshops could not be organised afterwards, the connection with the institution continues, and we look forward to contributing again in the future.
